At 20/20 VISION CENTER, our optometry team is committed to providing advanced vision care in a professional and comfortable environment. Our primary eye care services include a comprehensive eye exam that analyzes eye health and vision function. In addition to eye exams and vision testing, our optometry professionals provide testing and treatment for glaucoma, cataracts and macular degeneration. We also provide glasses, contact lenses, complex contact lens fittings, dry eye treatment, and pre- and post-operative care.
Comprehensive Eye Exams:
This is a complete review of visual function and eye health using the latest advances in technology in a comfortable and caring environment. It is not rushed and findings are discussed in detail with recommendations. There are so many ways we can help with eye fatigue and other visual problems as well as head off future vision problems. We are concerned and make careful recommendations.
Dr. Vidal and Dr. Hagan have many years of experience fitting contact lenses. We have access to an extensive selection of contact lenses from simple soft planned replacement lenses to more specific lenses to fit astigmatism or higher prescriptions. Post-surgical complications, Keratoconus, and other difficult cases are our specialty. After the initial examination, our doctors discuss the variety of contact lens options open to you and, based on your need and lifestyle, help you decide which lens is best for you. The next step is a contact lens fitting process that may begin that same day. Most of our patients leave the office with their first pair of contact lenses on their initial visit and return for follow up visits as directed.
Computer and Workstation Eyestrain:
Work stations and their computers require special attention. To stare at a screen that sits within arm’s length with glasses (or just your eyes with no glasses) that are designed for looking for down the road makes no sense. It creates a continual work load for your eyes that can be relieved with properly designed workstation eye wear. We now have special lenses that are designed to filter the annoying blue light that computers consistently emit as well. We can help.
Our doctors can diagnose eye diseases or other compromised ocular health issues. Some of these conditions are serious and require immediate referral. Others require a prescription for medication from Dr. Vidal or Dr. Hagan and appropriate follow up care. Some are very contagious. It is a mistake to not call. Call us immediately if you believe you may have an ocular emergency, or go to the nearest Hospital Emergency Room.
Laser assisted in situ keratomileusis, commonly referred to as LASIK, is a corrective alternative to glasses or contact lenses. Like glasses or contact lenses, LASIK is a method for treating refractive conditions including nearsightedness (myopia), farsightedness (hyperopia), and astigmatism. At 20/20 VISION CENTER, our doctors provide consultation, evaluation, pre- and post-operative exams for LASIK and other eye procedures. Call (619) 460-2020 today to schedule an examination to see whether you are a candidate for LASIK.
